Los Cántaros, Carmelo, República Oriental del Uruguay.

The Origin

On this very wooded land full of ancient vegetation, the remains of two clay vessels (cántaros, in Spanish) over three feet high were found at the bank of the stream, next to an old stone building.

These vessels were used by sailors to carry water and oil down the River Plate in the 19th Century, and they were probably part of a shipment bound for the city of Carmelo.

Today, this exclusive development, with personality and identity, and keeping alive the natural spirit of the River Plate shore is named after Los Cántaros.

The Project
